HIRED OPS Adds New Competitive “TARGET DESIGNATION” Mode

Developer AbsolutSoft today released an exciting update for its competitive multiplayer First Person Shooter, Hired Ops. Today’s update adds a new multiplayer mode, Target Designation, which is free to all owners of the game, currently on Steam’s Early Access. Target Designation mode sees members of the BEAR ops combat team attempting to drop an electronic beacon into a target zone, while USEC battlefield operatives do their best to prevent or destroy the beacon before the airstrike can be called in. Each player gets one life, there are no respawns, and eliminating the enemy team can also be considered “mission success.”

Along with the Target Designation mode, the Hired Ops update includes several fixes, including an improvement to the XP system and fixes for some issues that arose after the recent addition of the combat skills features.

Last but not least, AbsolutSoft is planning to release a new map, “UN Base”, later this month, along with several other new features. Keep an eye out for more news in the coming weeks!
